Nissan Adds Voice to the Campaign
API is delighted to announce that our national initiative to save dogs this summer is backed by Nissan who is working with us to spread the word to consumers about the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot car!
Nissan has a track record of caring for animals who accompany their drivers and has included warning language about the dangers of leaving animals in hot cars in their owners manuals for many years. They are now backing our "My Dog is Cool" campaign to spread the word and will be highlighting the issue on their website and in updated manuals and materials. Nissan is encouraging other car manufacturers to come on board this summer and act to save lives.
API thanks Nissan for their support and compassion. We will now be encouraging all other car companies to include prominent warnings in car manuals and to back the campaign. We will keep you up to date with our progress and let you know which companies care!
"Nissan is proud to be working with the Animal Protection Institute this summer to save dogs from dying in cars. Car manufacturers have a key role to play in spreading the word that it's just not cool to leave a dog in a hot car." Lisa Robinson, Manager, Nissan Advanced Planning Department.
